TUCSON, Ariz. — The MSU Denver women's golf team closed out its final regular-season tournament this week, finishing 14th overall at the West Texas A&M Desert Invitational at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon.
The Roadrunners posted rounds of 327 and 326 for a two-day total of 653 (+77), showing consistency across both days as they head into the postseason.
MSU Denver opened play Monday with a 327 (+39), led by Neige Dunn and Izabella Pesicka, who each carded rounds of 75 (+3). Dunn used a balanced round with a 37 on the front nine and 38 on the back, while Pesicka's steady play kept her near the top of the individual leaderboard.
Lauren Mack added an 86 (+14), with Rien Solodan posting a 91 (+19) and Jordyn Horsley finishing with a 93 (+21) to round out the team scoring.
On Tuesday, the Roadrunners followed with a nearly identical round of 326 (+38), trimming one stroke off their opening-day score.
Dunn once again led the way, improving to a 74 (+2) with a strong 35 on the front nine. She finished the tournament at 149 (+5), securing a top-10 individual finish.
Pesicka carded an 80 (+8) in round two to finish at 155 (+11), while Mack remained consistent with another 86 (+14), closing at 172 (+28).
Horsley made one of the biggest jumps of the tournament, cutting seven strokes from her first round to shoot 86 (+14), while Solodan improved with a 90 (+18) on Tuesday.
The Roadrunners' back-to-back rounds of 327 and 326 highlighted a steady performance to close out the regular season, with multiple players showing improvement and consistency over the two days.
With the RMAC Championships set to begin April 19, MSU Denver will look to build on that consistency and carry momentum from Tucson into the most important stretch of the season.
