DENVER — Another postseason honor rolled in for MSU Denver baseball Friday morning as three Roadrunners earned recognition on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II South Central All-Region teams.
Senior designated hitter Royce Vandine headlined the group with First Team All-Region honors, while catcher Noah Wicks and starting pitcher Jake Syverson both earned spots on the Second Team All-Region squad.
The honors capped off standout seasons for all three players and continued a strong postseason awards run for the Roadrunners after another NCAA Tournament appearance in 2026.
Vandine put together the best season of his collegiate career during his senior campaign, earning First Team All-RMAC honors while establishing himself as one of the top power hitters in the region.
The designated hitter led MSU Denver in home runs and set career-highs across nearly every offensive category throughout the spring. One of the defining moments of Vandine's season came against then-No. 1 Colorado Mesa University when he delivered a seven-RBI performance that helped the Roadrunners snap the Mavericks' 24-game winning streak and unbeaten RMAC record.
Wicks continued his remarkable breakout season behind the plate by collecting Second Team All-Region honors after becoming one of the nation's most dangerous hitters.
The First Team All-RMAC catcher led the conference in on-base percentage while finishing second in batting average and third in OPS. Wicks also ranked among the RMAC leaders in doubles, runs scored and total hits while serving as one of the most consistent offensive threats in the conference all season long.
Nationally, Wicks ranked third in NCAA Division II with a .456 batting average and produced some of the most impressive offensive stretches in the region. He recorded a 17-game hitting streak and a 36-game on-base streak, both the longest by a Roadrunner during the 2026 season.
Wicks also posted multiple five-hit games and became the only RMAC player to record a six-hit performance in a single game this season.
On the mound, Syverson anchored the Roadrunners' rotation throughout the year and earned First Team All-RMAC honors after emerging as one of the conference's top starting pitchers.
The right-hander led the RMAC in both innings pitched (76.1) and strikeouts (61), providing valuable consistency for MSU Denver throughout conference play and into the postseason.
Syverson also ranked third in the RMAC in ERA (6.01), opponent batting average (.283) and wins (six), finishing the year as one of the most reliable arms in the region while helping guide the Roadrunners to a 38-win season and another NCAA Tournament appearance.
The trio's all-region selections added another layer to an already successful season for the Roadrunners, who reached the NCAA South Central Regional for the second consecutive year and made their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last five seasons.
