DENVER – MSU Denver cross country returned to action Saturday morning for its second meet of the season, competing at the Roadrunners Invitational at Washington Park in the team's only home meet of the 2026 season.

Jonathan Duran paced the Roadrunner men, posting a season-best time of 26:14.41 in the men's 8-kilometer race to finish 24th among 125 competitors.

Duran was followed closely by Jordan Duran, who crossed the finish line in 26:25.11 to place 30th, while Darren Hayden finished 36th in 26:31.41.

Eisen Dacus placed 55th in 27:26.20, followed by Wells Stucker in 59th at 27:31.97. Josh Chadeayne finished 65th in 27:42.13, while Matthew Hayden (28:35.86), Parker Davidson (28:54.61) and Braden Medina (29:05.33) rounded out the Roadrunners' competitors.

On the women's side, Ellie Shaw led MSU Denver in the 6K with a time of 23:44.15, placing 28th among 90 runners.

Reese Bachman followed in 45th at 24:12.22, while Ava Archuletta finished 70th in 25:29.44. Madison Danks placed 74th in 25:46.39, and Piper Loeks rounded out the Roadrunners in 81st with a time of 26:43.74.

The Roadrunners Invitational marked MSU Denver's lone opportunity to compete at home this season, giving both squads a chance to race in front of the home crowd at Washington Park.

MSU Denver will continue its 2026 season at the NCAA Pre-Nationals on October 11 in Lawrence, Kansas.
