The No. 11 Metro State women's soccer team (11-1-3, 7-0-2 RMAC) used three second half goals to defeat Colorado Christian, 3-0, Sunday afternoon in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play at Auraria Field.

Despite six shots on goal, the 'Runners could not score in the first half. Jen Thomas turned things around quickly in the second half when she broke away from the defense and fired a shot past the Cougars goalie. Vanessa Mais scored on a penalty kick and Michael' Ann Karas scored her first career goal on a shot that deflected off the cross bar and into the goal.

The 'Runners return to the field Friday when they host CSU-Pueblo at 1 p.m.
