The No. 13 Metro State women's soccer team cruised to a 4-1 victory over New Mexico Highlands, Sunday afternoon in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) action at Auraria Field. MSCD improved to 9-1-2 on the year and 5-0-1 in the RMAC.

The game was scoreless until the 43rd minute when Madison McQuilliams broke away and dribbled past defenders to score her third goal of the season. Ashley Munchiando assisted Jen Thomas on a header to give the 'Runners a 2-0 lead. NMHU scored in the 82nd minute, which was the first goal the 'Runners have allowed since September 7th. Becca Mays added her 13th goal of the season and Thomas had her second goal of the day to seal the victory for Metro State.

Metro State travels to Pueblo to face Colorado State-Pueblo, Friday at 4 p.m.
