KEARNEY, Neb. - Ashley Nemmers (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West H.S.) scored less than two minutes into the second half to give No. 11 Metro State a 1-0 victory at Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday.  The Roadrunners improved to 8-1-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while the Lopers fell to 5-5-0 overall and 2-4-0.

Nemmers received a pass from Michael' Ann Karas at the top of the box and let the shot rip from there.

Metro State had plenty of other opportunities, putting 10 total shots on goal in the game.  Defensively, the Roadrunners allowed just three shots on goal and goalkeeper Alee Seehausen (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View H.S.) stopped all three attempts.

Metro State will play at Mesa State and Fort Lewis next weekend.
