Box Score Box Score

DURANGO, Colo. -
Emma Cannis scored with 58 seconds left in the second overtime to give No. 21 Fort Lewis a 2-1 double overtime win over Metro State on Sunday in Durango.  The loss dropped the Roadrunners to 11-3-1 overall and 7-3-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while FLC grabbed control of first place in the RMAC and improved to 11-1-3 and 8-1-2.

Cannis scored on a 1 v. 1 with Metro State goalkeeper Danielle Quigley (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West H.S.), who got both hands on the shot, but was unable to slow it down enough to keep it out of the goal.

The Skyhawks took the lead first at 34:06 on a goal by Sam Weiss when she stole a pass back to Quigley and scored.

Metro State finally tied the game with less than 11 minutes left in regulation as Abby Rolph (Golden, Colo./Golden H.S.) scored on a rebound from Hayley Marsh (Littleton, Colo./Chatfield H.S.)'s long free kick.

FLC dominated possession and outshot the Roadrunners 21-11, but managed just seven shots on goal.  Quigley made five saves.

Metro State will travel to Nebraska-Kearney for a 7 p.m. game on Friday.
