Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Metro State suffered a tough 1-0 loss at Colorado Mesa on Friday night in Grand Junction. The Roadrunners dropped to 10-4-1 overall and 7-3-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CMU improved to 9-3-3 and 6-3-2.
MSU dominated the game statistically, outshooting the Mavericks 28-9, including 14-3 in shots on goal as CMU goalkeeper Sarah Schnetzler stopped all 14 shots on goal.
The Mavericks scored the game's only goal just 14:31 into the contest when Tayler Franklin got ahead of the Metro State defense for a breakaway.
Metro State played the final 28 minutes up a player after CMU's Lauren Brouse was given a red card. The Roadrunners outshot the Mavericks 13-0 after the red card, but still failed to put one in the net. Schnetzler made four saves in the final 10 minutes.
