The Roadrunners are now 16-18 overall and 13-9 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while WNMU fell to 12-25 and 7-17.

Game One
After tossing a one-hitter on Saturday, Aubree Maul (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain H.S.) fell victim to one of the top-hitting teams in the RMAC as Western New Mexico chased her after just 1 1/3 innings. The Mustangs connected for 20 hits in the game, including eight off Maul.

WNMU scored three times in the first, three in the second, two in the thrid, four in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Tillery led off the bottom of the first with a towering home run to left-center. Kasey Nichols (Springville, Calif./Porterville H.S.) doubled with one out and pinch runner Alyssa Carter (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West H.S.) scored on a single by Molly Clark (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood H.S.). But the Roadrunners left two runners on base in the first and nine in the game.

Tillery hit a two-out homer in the fourth.

Mary Towner (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley H.S.) delivered a two-run single in the fifth, but Metro left the bases loaded to end the game as the Roadrunners failed to close the deficit under eight.

Game Two
Tillery and Chelsea Brew (Colorado Springs/Rampart H.S.) provided big hits in game two and Jordyn Randolph (Arvada, Colo./Pomona H.S.) allowed one earned run in five innings for the win.

Brew crushed a three-run homer in the bottom of the first, extending the lead to 4-0 after the first inning.

Tillery hit a two-run shot in the second as Metro led 6-1 after two.

Leading 6-2 in the third, Metro again scored twice. Maul led off with a double to right-center and scored one batter later on a single up the middle by Brew. Towner later drove in Brew with a sacrifice fly.

The Mustangs turned to their fourth pitcher with two outs in the fourth inning and the Roadrunners drew five walks in the fifth to win the game.

Brew finished 2-for-2 with four RBIs and Annalyse Garcia (Frederick, Colo./Frederick H.S.) also had two hits.
