Box Score 2 PUEBLO, Colo. - Metro State softball team opened Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play on Saturday, falling 4-0 and 10-2 in five innings at Colorado State-Pueblo. The Roadrunners dropped to 6-6 overall on the season, while CSUP improved to 7-4 overall and 4-2 in the RMAC.
Game One
CSU-Pueblo right-hander Justine Bosio shut down MSU Denver's offense, limiting the Roadrunners to four singles and one walk in the complete game shutout. Bosio struck out three.
The ThunderWolves scored once in the second, twice in the third and one more time in the fifth as
Brittany Moss (Northglenn, Colo./Northglenn H.S.) (1-4) suffered the loss.
Dani Sandel (Omaha, Neb./Westside H.S.),
Kelsey Tillery (Windsor, Colo./Windsor H.S.),
Annalyse Garcia (Frederick, Colo./Frederick H.S.) and
Brandi Roundtree (Lakewood, Colo./Soroco H.S.) each had a base hit for MSU Denver.
Game Two
It was all ThunderWolves from the start as they led 7-0 after two innings and sent starter
Hailey Eisenhauer (Windsor, Calif./Cardinal Newman H.S.) (2-2) to the showers after just 1+ inning. Eisenhauer was roughed up for six hits and four walks.
Reliever
Monique Hernandez (Las Vegas, Nev./Las Vegas H.S.) limited CSU-Pueblo to one earned run in three innings.
Stephanie Dunham (Rio Rancho, N.M./Rio Rancho H.S.) drove in both of Metro State's runs with a double in the fourth inning.
The two teams will play a doubleheader at 11 a.m. on Sunday in Pueblo.
