Box Score DENVER - Regis University broke a scoreless tie in the top of the 10th inning to win 2-0 at Metro State on Sunday to earn a four-game series split with the Roadrunners. MSU Denver fell to 10-15 with the loss and RU improved to 16-6.
Nick Hammett (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield H.S.) threw nine shutout innings for Metro State, allowing five hits with five strikeouts, but he was matched by Rangers right hander Steven Brault, who blanked MSU Denver on four hits over nine innings with eight strikeouts.
Against reliever
Kevin Hand (Highlands Ranch, Colo./ThunderRidge H.S.), the Rangers led off the 10th with a double and eventually scored twice after a walk and a single.
Metro State will play at Colorado Christian on Friday and Saturday for four games.
