Metro State will host No. 12 St. Edward's (Texas) at 1 p.m. on Friday and Emporia State (Kan.) at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Notes:
• Goalkeeper Nicole Jablonski (White Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Northern H.S.) was named RMAC defensive player of the week on Sept. 10 after recording two shutouts to open the season.

• Jablonski became the first Metro State freshman since Madison McQuilliams in 2007 to earn RMAC player of the week honors after the first weekend of the season.

• Jablonski is the first Metro State freshman goalkeeper since Rachel Zollner in 2005 to record shutouts in her first two career starts (Zollner had five straight combined shutouts, but her first was not a solo shutout).

• Jablonski is the first Metro State freshman goalkeeper since Tina Churchill in 2004 to record two consecutive solo shutouts in her first two career starts.

• Metro State tied No. 14 Dallas Baptist 0-0 on Sept. 7 after going 4-3-0 last season against ranked opponents.

• Metro State snapped a four-game winless streak on artificial turf with a 2-0 win at West Texas A&M on Sept. 5.

• Head coach Adrianne Pietz was married over the summer, changing her last name from Almaraz.

• MSU Denver went 2-1 in three exhibitions, falling 3-1 at Northern Colorado before a 2-0 win over Colorado State and a 3-0 in its alumni game.

• Brandi Farley (Colorado Springs/Pine Creek H.S.) led the team with four goals during the preseason and Abby Rolph (Golden, Colo./Golden H.S.) and Karisa Price (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland H.S.) each had one.

• Marie Ipock (Los Lunas, N.M./Los Lunas H.S.) had two preseason assists and Rolph, Jordan Post (Spearfish, S.D./Spearfish H.S.) and Maggie Rojas (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka H.S.) each had one.

• Jablonski started two exhibitions and played in all three in goal, posting a 0.80 GAA and .714 save percentage.
