• Metro State went 4-1 against four Lone Star Conference schools in non-conference action Feb. 14-16, with a win over No. 17 Angelo State (17) and its only loss to No. 8 West Texas A&M.

Cassidy Smith (Loveland, Colo./Loveland H.S.) was named RMAC pitcher of the week on Feb. 18 after going 3-0 with a 3.85 ERA in her first three collegiate starts.

Aubree Maul (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain H.S.) is 5-1 with a 1.75 ERA in 44.0 innings with 23 strikeouts and a .198 opponent batting average over her past seven starts.
•
Kaylynn Harmon (Erie, Colo./Erie H.S.) is batting .409 (9-for-22) with two home runs over her current seven-game hitting streak.

Mary Towner (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley H.S.) is batting .468 (37-for-79) with 32 RBIs, nine doubles and six home runs over the past 23 games.
• Towner was named RMAC player of the week on Feb. 25 after batting .588 (10-for-17) with seven runs batted in during four games at Colorado Mesa.

Kelsey Tillery (Windsor, Colo./Windsor H.S.) is batting .470 (39-for-83) with 29 RBIs, 27 runs, 18 doubles and two home runs over the past 23 games and is hitting .440 (11-for-25) with seven runs, seven RBIs, four doubles and a home run over a current seven-game hitting streak.
• Tillery was named RMAC player of the week on March 11 after going 6-for-8 (.750) with five RBIs in two games against Colorado Christian and Western New Mexico.

Susie Oury (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West H.S.) has hit safely in six of the past seven games, batting .375 (9-for-24) during that time.
• Through 26 games, Metro State is 51-for-58 on stolen bases, while allowing just 15 steals in 19 attempts.
• Metro State had stolen base totals of 12 (2011), 22 (2012) and 31 (2013) over each of the past three seasons (school record is 131 in 1990).
MAUL'S BATTLE WITH CANCER:
•
Aubree Maul (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain H.S.) was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer last season on Feb. 5, 2013--the same day she was named RMAC pitcher of the week.
• She completed her final round of chemotherapy during the week of April 15, 2013, and has made a full recovery.
• The team held a T.E.A.L. (Tell Every Amazing Lady) game on April 27 last season against Black Hills State as a fundraiser for Ovarian Cancer.
• Maul is back after earning a medical redshirt and is expected to be the team's No. 1 pitcher and a centerpiece in the batting lineup.

• Metro State's season-opening four-game series vs. Nebraska-Kearney was cancelled due to snow in Denver.
