Box Score DENVER - Metropolitan State University of Denver earned a 2-0 win over Colorado Mesa on Sunday at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver for its third consecutive shutout. The Roadrunners improved to 4-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CMU fell to 0-4-2 and 0-1-1.

Noemy Polanco (Long Beach, Calif./Lakewood H.S.) struck first for MSU Denver, scoring at 13:52 on a blast from the top of the box into the upper-right corner of the net. She had a wide-open shot after a long pass from the left side of the field by Brandi Farley (Colorado Springs/Pine Creek H.S.).

Karisa Price (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland H.S.) pushed the lead to 2-0 at 81:24, finishing a cross from Tess Hagenlock (Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman H.S.) with a one-touch shot in front of the net off her knee.

Breanna Flores (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) played 86:43 in the goal, making three saves. She combined with Raeanna Rosales (Las Cruces, N.M./Las Cruces H.S.) for the shutout.

The Roadrunners outshot CMU 19-11 in the game. They travel to Adams State for a 1 p.m. game on Friday.
