Denver – The Metropolitan State University baseball team heads on the road to open up a four game series in New Mexico against the Cowboys of New Mexico Highlands University in the second conference series of the season.
The four game series stars with a 2 P.M. start on Friday, March 9th, a double header starting at 12 noon on Saturday, before finishing off with a 12 noon game on Sunday.
The Roadrunners went 3-1 in their opening conference series against CSU-Pueblo, raising their overall record to 7-9. After the series, MSU Denver sits 4
th in the conference standings while CSU-Pueblo fell to 6
th.
The Cowboys opened RMAC conference play against Colorado School of Mines losing 3 of 4 in the series to establish a 1-3 conference record and lowering their overall record to 5-11. New Mexico Highlands University enters the series ranked 7
th in the conference after their series against the currently ranked 2nd Colorado School of Mines.
