Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver softball team will return home after eight game road trip. The Fort Lewis Skyhawks comes to town to play the Roadrunners in back to back double headers over the weekend.
The first doubleheader will begin Saturday, March 10 at 12 P.M. with the second doubleheader beginning at 11 A.M. on Sunday, March 11, both taking place at the Regency Athletic Complex.
The MSU Denver Roadrunners are coming off a four game series against the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) where they went 1-3 after salvaging the final game in a 16-12 shootout. With a current conference record of 3-5 and overall record of 6-14, MSU is currently ninth in the RMAC standings while UCCS is ranked 8th.
The Fort Lewis Skyhawks will be entering the weekend's contests with a conference record of 1-7, and an overall record of 7-15 after getting swept by Colorado Christian University in their previous series. Fort Lewis currently sits at 10
th in the RMAC conference after the previous series against the second ranked Colorado Christian University team.
