Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver softball team is on the road this weekend to take on the Yellow Jackets of Black Hills State University, in Spearfish, South Dakota for back-to-back doubleheaders. The first game of the Saturday, April 14 doubleheader will start at 12 p.m., compared to an 11 a.m. start for the Sunday, April 15 doubleheader.
The Roadrunners are entering the series on a five game winning streak, including a four game sweep of Chadron State College where the MSU Denver ladies allowed only 1 run in the entire series. Currently the MSU Denver softball team ranks fourth in RMAC standings, with an 18-10 conference record and a 23-19 overall record as the season winds down.
Black Hills State University had their previous weekend series against Colorado Mesa University cancelled due to weather. The Black Hills State Yellow Jackets are currently seventh in the RMAC standings with a conference record of 8-12, and an overall record of 8-20.
