DENVER -- Metropolitan State University of Denver volleyball coach
Jenny Glenn has announced that two recruits have signed national letters of intent.
The new signees, one in-state recruit and one international recruit, are both setters.
The international recruit, Amela Qershia, is from Shkodër, Albania, and is a member of the Albanian Senior National Team.
The in-state recruit is Delaney Eckhardt of LaSalle, Colo., who attends Valley High School in Gilcrest, Colo.

Coach Jenny Glenn: "We are excited to add Amela to the roster this spring. She is a great athlete and has various international experiences that make her a seasoned setter and competitor. She will be a great addition to our setting unit."

- Won the U19 championship four consecutive years with Vllaznia Volley
- Starting setter for six years
- Played for the U-20/U-19 National Team
- Earned Best Volleyball Athlete award from mayor of Shkodër, 2018

Coach Jenny Glenn: "We are so excited to welcome Delaney to the Roadrunner Volleyball Family. She is a physical and athletic setter who will provide depth for us in the setting position. She has experience playing multiple positions which has given her a high volleyball IQ."

- As a senior, averaged 4.3 kills per set on .313 hitting, with 11.0 digs per set, 0.5 blocks per set and 0.8 aces
- Four-year varsity career stats: 1,162 kills (3.4 per set), 961 digs (2.1 per set), 187 aces (0.6 per set), 909 assists (2.7 per set)
