@MSUDenverWSOC: Chao Adds 3 Recruits

Two local midfielders, goalkeeper from California to join program

DENVER – MSU Denver women's soccer coach Tracy Chao has announced the addition of three recruits for the 2020 season.

Signing national letters of intent to join the Roadrunners' program are two local recruits, midfielders Susie Puchino and Julia Stanton. as well as Californian goalkeeper Angie Leist.

A look at each recruit:

Susie Puchino | 5-7 | M | Centennial, Colo. | Littleton HS (Littleton, Colo.) | Club: Colorado United 02 Girls White

Coach Tracy Chao: "Susie has a box-to-box work rate as well as technical qualities to add to our offensive build-up. She brings a tremendous mentality to our program and added dimension to our midfield. We are thrilled to welcome another great local Colorado product to our program and to our Roadrunner Family."

Club coach John Senkosky, Colorado United Soccer: "Susie has the rare blend of speed and endurance, and she is one of the most tenacious and dedicated players I have ever coached. She has played a center midfielder position. Susie has the kind of endurance that doesn't quit. It doesn't quit after a 60-yard run, and it doesn't quit after back-to-back 60-yard runs. And these runs and the rest of her play is tenacious, and that tenaciousness comes from her dedication to herself, her teammates, our team, and to this game. She has been the team captain since she was 13 years old, playing club ball. I know she will be an outstanding college soccer player."

She brings a great sense of game understanding and the ability to manage the rhythm of the game. Julia is another excellent addition and representative of our program and to our Roadrunner Family."

Club coach Tony Rosales, Colorado Rush Development Academy: "I noticed Julia right away at my first training with the Colorado Rush DA. She was a two-year captain for her team and she and her family has been an incredible asset to the club. I have no doubt she will do the same at MSU Denver.
