DENVER – The Coaches Corner, Metropolitan State University of Denver athletics' weekly live show, returns to the Tivoli Tap House on the Auraria campus on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
The show is available to watch
here.
Scheduled to appear are men's basketball coach
Michael Bahl, women's basketball coach
Tanya Haave and men's basketball player
Laolu Oke.
Bahl's Roadrunners, 1-2 to open the season, are preparing for a Tuesday afternoon home game against Colorado College that is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. After that, MSU Denver has home games Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Eastern New Mexico and Saturday at 6 p.m. against Minnesota State-Mankato as part of the Hilton Garden Inn Cherry Creek Classic.
Haave's team is 0-4, but the Roadrunners are again playing a difficult non-conference schedule. So far the teams they have faced are a combined 14-0. MSU Denver plays host to the Holiday Inn Denver Cherry Creek Classic this weekend, with a 5:30 p.m. game Friday against Northern State (S.D.) and a 4 p.m. game Saturday against Central Washington.
Oke is a promising redshirt freshman forward who has appeared in all three games this season, scoring four points while grabbing five rebounds.
The Coaches' Corner, which is produced by
Eric Lansing, will continue weekly throughout the collegiate sports season. The show is set for 5:30 p.m. every Monday. The general public is welcome to attend while enjoying food and drinks at the Tivoli Tap House.
