DENVER – The MSU Denver women's soccer team is ready to embark upon the program's first foreign tour. The trip will be an opportunity of a lifetime for student-athletes to experience England, the place considered the home of "football."
The program is seeking the support of the public, particularly on Thursday, which is the third annual MSU Denver Day of Giving.
Last year's Day of Giving generated $82,311 for MSU Denver students campus-wide.

The Roadrunners' 16-sport athletics program is seeking financial support for many of its planned events, including international trips that give teams life-changing experiences, the opportunity to bond with life-long friends and helps to contribute to the overall success of the teams in their fields of competition. While traveling and often participating in community-service opportunities, the teams often play games against international competition.
The MSU Denver women's soccer team will get to see and feel, first-hand, the passion of the "beautiful game" and its strong heritage. Whether stepping on the field for an international friendly match or joining the songs and chants amongst the 74,994 fans at Old Trafford, the energy and environment is undoubtedly unmatched anywhere else in the world.
Most importantly, the team will immerse itself with all the unique elements that define England's culture, from people to places to savoring the local cuisine.
In order to make the dream a reality, it will take a total team effort.
Support from loyal Roadrunners friends and family would significantly reduce the out-of-pocket cost of the trip. The MSU Denver women's soccer program is committed to continuing its fundraising efforts, and hopes others will team up to help the student-athletes reach their goal of experiencing this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Gifts made to the women's soccer crowdfunding page will count toward the Red and Blue Fund cumulative giving level.
