LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the second time this week, MSU Denver pitcher/shortstop Darby McGhee has been named to an All-South Central Region team. This time the junior has been named first team all-region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
 
She was recognized in the utility/pitcher position.

McGhee was the Roadrunners' top pitcher this past season, going 13-11 with a 2.77 ERA and 123 strikeouts in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference-leading 166 2/3 innings. The junior also set the school's career strikeout record, which now stands at 302.
 
She is third in the RMAC in hits allowed per seven innings (5.7), tied for fourth in strikeouts,  fifth with four shutouts, sixth in ERA and ninth in wins.
 
McGhee was also one of Metropolitan State University of Denver's top offensive players and, when not pitching, was usually the team's shortstop. McGhee batted .332 with five homers and 39 RBIs, and also had 19 doubles while compiling a .518 slugging percentage, a .340 on-base percentage, and an OPS of .858.
 
McGhee is tied for fourth in the RMAC and for 14^th in NCAA Division II in doubles. She tied for eighth in the RMAC in hits (85).
 
Earlier this week, McGhee was named to the all-region second team by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association.
