DENVER – On this date, Oct. 12, 2019, MSU Denver women's cross country runner Alden Gruidel beat five All-Americans while finishing second overall in a field of 402 at the Lewis (Ill.) Crossover for her fourth consecutive top-three finish.
 
On a muddy course, Gruidel ran six kilometers in 22 minutes, 35.8 seconds, and placed 3.9 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher. She earned her second RMAC Cross Country Runner of the Week honor.
 
MSU Denver finished 13^th among 36 teams.

2018 – Taylor Duryea had 12 kills on .375 hitting as the MSU Denver volleyball team hit .355 and beat New Mexico Highlands 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-18) for its fifth straight victory to improve to 13-6 overall and 9-2 in the RMAC.
 
2018 – Reigna Banks came through in overtime against as the MSU Denver women's soccer team beat Colorado Christian for its second straight 1-0 overtime victory, improving to 9-3-1 overall and 7-2 in the RMAC. Banks had scored the overtime game-winner in the previous game.
 
2018 – Jacob Coking took a long lead pass from Danny Bautista and scored the game-winner at 94:28 as the MSU Denver men's soccer team posted its second straight 2-1 overtime victory, beating South Dakota Mines for its fourth straight win.
 
2014 – Abby Rolph scored the game-winner on a penalty kick with 1:55 left in regulation as the No. 17 MSU Denver women's soccer team, en route to an unbeaten league season, won 2-1 at Colorado Mesa for its fifth straight win, improving to 9-1-2 overall and 6-0-2 in the RMAC.
 
*2014 – Josh Belfrage scored the tying goal at 60:49 and then had the assist on Danny Arrubla's game-winner at 95:36 as the No. 19 MSU Denver men's soccer team won 2-1 at Adams State for its second straight overtime victory, stretching its winning streak to three games while improving to 9-2 overall and 6-2 in the RMAC.
 
2012 – Brenden Hughes scored two goals as the MSU Denver men's soccer team beat Colorado Christian 4-0.
 
2012 – Tess Hagenlock scored two goals as the No. 8 MSU Denver women's soccer team beat Colorado Christian 5-0 for its seventh straight win, improving to 10-2-1 overall and 7-1-1 in the RMAC.
 
2012 – Alysa Heath had 13 kills and six block assists as the No. 20 MSU Denver volleyball team won 3-1 (25-21, 19-25, 25-21, 25-12) at Western Colorado to improve to 12-6 overall and 7-3 in the RMAC.
 
2011 – Aubrey Fondy scored the game-winner at 73:58 as the MSU Denver women's soccer team came from behind to beat Regis 2-1 to improve to 10-2-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the RMAC.
 
2007 – Danielle St. Pierre had 13 kills on .360 hitting as the MSU Denver volleyball team beat New Mexico Highlands 3-1 (30-23, 30-20, 25-30, 30-26) for its fourth straight win to improve to 9-3 in the RMAC.
 
2007 – Madison McQuilliams scored the tie-breaking goal at 46:56 and the MSU Denver women's soccer team won 2-1 at Regis, improving to 10-3-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the RMAC.
 
2003 – Zack Cousins started his MSU Denver men's soccer program record-tying streak of five consecutive games with at least one goal in a 1-0 victory over St. Edward's (Texas), as the Roadrunners improved to 9-5-1.
 
*2003 – Naomi Clarke had two goals as the No. 1 MSU Denver women's soccer team beat Adams State 6-0 to improve to 12-0-1 overall and 7-0 in the RMAC while extending its RMAC unbeaten streak to 22.
 
2002 – Nicki Fusco had 21 kills on .500 hitting and added 13 digs as the No. 13 MSU Denver volleyball team won 3-0 (30-27, 30-19, 31-29) at Colorado Mesa for its 11^th straight victory, improving to 16-4 overall and 11-0 in the RMAC.
 
2001 – Marina Bazana had 16 kills on .343 hitting and added 10 digs as the No. 7 MSU Denver volleyball team won 3-0 (30-22, 30-25, 30-20) at New Mexico Highlands for its 15^th straight victory, improving to 18-3 overall and 8-0 in the RMAC.
 
1996 – Kari Pierce scored two goals and sister Katie Pierce had a goal and an assist as the MSU Denver women's soccer team beat North Dakota State 4-0.
 
1991 – Anna Martinez scored at 25:17 as the MSU Denver women's soccer team beat Northern Colorado 1-0.
 
1989 – Leslie Zimmerman, Bridgette Leisure and Monica Wenston scored goals as the MSU Denver women's soccer team beat Cal Poly Pomona 3-0.
 
1988 – The MSU Denver volleyball team led by Becky Kofoed (4.5 kills and 1.1 blocks per set) won 3-0 (15-4, 15-12, 15-7) at No. 17 Northern Colorado.
 
1987 – Joe Okoh, Jeff Fletcher and Tim Yunger scored goals at the MSU Denver men's soccer team won 3-0 at Denver.
 
1986 – Jami Cobb scored her second goal with 2:52 left in regulation as the MSU Denver women's soccer team beat SMU 2-1.
 
1983 – The MSU Denver volleyball team, en route to a 40-win season won 3-1 (15-0, 8-15, 15-7, 15-4) at Denver. Jodi Jaeger was one of the major contributors on that Roadrunners team, with averages of 2.0 kills and 1.0 blocks per set.
 
1979 – The MSU Denver volleyball team, en route to a trip to the AIAW National Tournament, beat Colorado College 3-1 (12-15, 15-12, 16-14, 15-9).
