On This Date in Roadrunners Athletics History, May 28, 2011, Brandon Johnson finished fifth in the men's 5,000 meters at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning All-America honors with a time of 14:14.08. Eiger Erickson also finished 11th in the finals of the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:11.18.

Roadrunner earns All-American status

DENVER – It was nine years ago today, May 28, 2011, that MSU Denver's Brandon Johnson finished fifth in the men's 5,000 meters in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Turlock, Calif., earning All-America honors while running a time of 14 minutes, 14.08 seconds.
 
Earlier in the day, Eiger Erickson finished 11th in the finals of the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:11.18.
