DENVER – It was nine years ago today, Sept. 23, 2011, that Karisa Price scored at 105:20 as the No. 6 MSU Denver women's soccer team won 1-0 in overtime at 10^th-ranked host Colorado School of Mines to improve to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the RMAC.
 
Mines' goalkeeper overran a corner kick by Hayley Marsh and Price chested the ball into the net.
 
That performance highlights our latest installment of "On This Date in Roadrunners History," which looks back at the biggest accomplishments in MSU Denver athletics on that particular calendar day.

2018 – MSU Denver women's soccer goalkeeper Erica Torres posted her fourth straight shutout, and the No. 11 Roadrunners beat Western Colorado 3-0 to improve to 6-1-1 overall and 4-0 in the RMAC.
 
2017 – Stephanie Laraway had 16 kills on .682 hitting as the MSU Denver volleyball team beat Fort Lewis 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-15) for its third straight win.
 
2016 – Michaela Smith had 11 kills and Brandi Torr set 34 assists as the MSU Denver volleyball team continued what would be an undefeated RMAC regular season with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 250-16) win at Adams State that put the Roadrunners 3-0 in league play.
 
2016 – Five players scored, including two on penalty kicks by Jeff Gillis and Josh Belfrage, as the MSU Denver men's soccer team won 5-1 at Colorado Christian to improve to 4-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the RMAC.
 
2016 – Elise Boisnard scored a first-half goal as the MSU Denver women's soccer team beat Adams State 1-0.
 
2012 – Brandi Farley, Maggie Rojas and Karisa Price had goals as the MSU Denver women's soccer team beat CSU-Pueblo 3-0 to improve to 5-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the RMAC.
 
2012 – Second-half goals by Kevin Pocalyko and Andrew Mejia, including Mejia's game-winner at 80:23, lifted the MSU Denver men's soccer team to a 4-3 win over CSU-Pueblo. The Roadrunners scored the game's first two and last two goals.
 
2011 – Andrew Mejia assisted on both goals as the MSU Denver men's soccer team won 2-0 over Colorado Christian to improve to 5-2-1 overall and 3-1 in the RMAC.
 
2009 – Becca Mays had a goal and an assist as the No. 13 MSU Denver women's soccer team beat Colorado Mesa 5-0 to improve to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the RMAC.
 
2008 – Bri Morley had 15 kills as the MSU Denver volleyball team beat Regis 3-1 (25-17, 25-22, 28-30, 25-12) to improve to 5-0 in RMAC play.
 
2007 – Becca Mays and Katie Kilbey each scored two goals as the defending national champion MSU Denver women's soccer team won 7-0 at Colorado Christian to improve to 7-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the RMAC.
 
*2007 – Phillip Owen scored goals 1:42 apart, at 25:07 and 26:49, to give the MSU Denver men's soccer team a 3-1 lead in an eventual 4-1 victory at Colorado Christian as the Roadrunners improved to 7-1-2 overall and 5-0-2 in the RMAC.
 
2005 – Amy Leichliter had two goals and the defending national champion MSU Denver women's soccer team won 6-1 at CSU-Pueblo to improve to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the RMAC, The Roadrunners extended their winning streak to 32 games and their RMAC unbeaten streak to 48.
 
2005 – Zack Cousins scored both goals as the MSU Denver men's soccer team won 2-1 at UCCS to improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the RMAC.
 
2005 – Sheena McLaughlin had 24 kills and Gabrielle Curtis set 64 assists as the MSU Denver volleyball team beat Colorado School of Mines 3-1 (30-26, 31-29, 30-32, 30-22) for its third straight win.
 
2001 – Louise Kjellquist and Elin Otter had first half goals as the MSU Denver women's soccer team came from behind to beat Midwestern State (Texas) 2-1.
 
*2000 – Marina Bazana had 21 kills on .349 hitting and added 12 digs, while Jessy Roy had 18 kills on .351 hitting and added 21 digs, as the MSU Denver volleyball team beat No. 21 Regis 3-0 (15-12, 15-10, 15-5) for its sixth straight win.
 
1992 – Diane Dibble had eight kills on .437 hitting and added five blocks (two solo) as the No. 8 MSU Denver volleyball team beat UCCS 3-0 (15-8, 15-5, 15-11) in the Colorado Athletic Conference opener for its third straight win.
 
1989 – Becky Kofoed had team highs of 14 and 21 kills, respectively, as the No. 11 MSU Denver volleyball team beat Adams State 3-0 (15-4, 15-9, 15-2) and host Colorado Mesa 3-2 (11-15, 15-10, 14-16, 15-6, 15-9) to improve to 14-1.
 
1987 – The MSU Denver women's soccer team posted its fourth straight shutout victory, beating Northern Colorado 1-0. Jan Holland was 8-5 with seven shutouts for the season, while Michelle Carroll was 2-0 with two clean sheets.
