@MSUDenverWBB: Roadrunners Move Into Regional Rankings

MSU Denver is No. 8 in region after winning six of last seven games

EDMOND, Okla. – The MSU Denver women's basketball team, which has won six of its last seven games to surge to fourth place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, has earned a spot in the D2SIDA South Central Regional rankings.

The Roadrunners are ranked eighth in the poll, which is voted on by sports information directors and includes teams in the RMAC and Lone Star Conferences.

Five RMAC schools are in the rankings. In addition to MSU Denver, Western Colorado is No. 2, Colorado School of Mines is No. 6, Colorado Mesa is No. 7 and Westminster is No. 10.

The D2SIDA regional rankings are different than the regional rankings that the NCAA uses to determine qualifiers for the national tournament. Those rankings debut later in the season.
