GOLDEN, Colo. – After sweeping Fort Hays State (Kan.) in a four-game, season-opening series, the MSU Denver baseball team has moved into the NCBWA South Central Region ratings at No. 9.
 
The Roadrunners had received votes in the initial preseason poll, which considers teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic and Lone Star Conferences.
 
MSU Denver and No. 8 St. Edward's (Texas) are the only ranked teams to have played games that are undefeated. Three ranked teams haven't played.
