GREENSBORO, N.C. – Bill Ralston has become the 10
th player in MSU Denver baseball history to be recognized as an All-American.
The Roadrunners' third baseman has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America third team. Earlier Friday, teammate
Chase Anderson was named to the D2CCA second team, giving MSU Denver two different All-Americans this season.
Ralston earned All-South Central Region first team recognition from three organizations, with the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association joining both the ABCA and Division II Conference Commissioners Association in naming him the top player at his position in the region.
Also an All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference first team selection, Ralston's national rankings include 22nd in runs (53) and 31st in RBIs (52).
In the RMAC, the sophomore ranks sixth in batting (.395), tied for seventh in RBIs (52) and tied for eighth in homers (11) as well as first in sacrifice flies (six), second in walks (29), sixth in runs (53), seventh in on-base percentage (.484), eighth in hits (60), 10th in total bases (105) and 11th in slugging percentage (.691).
He batted third in the order for the RMAC's regular-season runner-up and the region's fourth-ranked team (regular-season NCBWA).
