COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the second consecutive season, MSU Denver forward
Laolu Oke has been named to the Academic All-RMAC first team.
Oke, who was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 team last season, is the reigning RMAC Defensive Player of the Year as well as an All-RMAC first team selection.
He carries a cumulative 3.60 grade point average while majoring in business management.
Also recognized by the RMAC for his academic work is
Keyshaad Dixon, was named to the Academic All-RMAC honor roll.
To be eligible for Academic All-RMAC consideration, student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters at their institution with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and must be using a season of eligibility.
Oke, who set school records for rebounds per game and field goal percentage in 2020-21, currently ranks third in Division II in rebounds (219) and double-doubles (12), fifth in rebounds per game (11.5) and ninth in field goal percentage (63.5).
He has earned RMAC Defensive Player of the Week 13 times in his career, including seven this season.
