WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The MSU Denver men's basketball team dropped one spot to No. 3 in the South Central Region in the Division II Sports Information Directors Association poll.
MSU Denver, 7-1, beat Westminster on Friday before losing 85-82 to Colorado Mesa on Saturday. Colorado Mesa jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 in the region poll.
The D2SIDA region polls aren't affiliated with the official NCAA region rankings which start late in the season and are eventually used to determine at-large qualifiers for the NCAA Tournament.
MSU Denver, ranked eighth and 11th in the national polls last week, travels this weekend for games Friday at Black Hills State at 7 p.m. and Saturday at South Dakota Mines at 6 p.m.
