KEARNEY, Neb. – Jaivion Lattimore become the first MSU Denver women's track & field athlete to break 12 seconds in the 100 meters on Saturday, running a first-place time of 11.84 seconds at the Loper Twilight.
It would have been a school-record time and a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Division II National Championships, but with a tailwind of 4.7 meters per second, the effort is considered wind-aided.
Also at the same last-chance meet,
Jessica Hobson ran the 100 meters in 12.50 for fifth place, while
Claire Hummel was fourth in the 200 in 25.28.
The 4x100 relay of Hummel, Hobson,
Allyssa Romero and Lattimore – shooting for 45.9 – finished second in 46.91 as expected competition in the event didn't run.
In the men's triple jump,
PJ Guidry was third at 14.56 meters (47 feet, 9 ¼ inches).
