EMPORIA, Kan. – Naleia Sowell's spectacular 2024 season in NCAA Division II women's track & field came to an end Thursday at the Outdoor National Championships.
The junior sprinter ran the 400 meters in 55.71 seconds, finishing 23
rd among 24 competitors in three heats. She did not advance to the finals.
The school record holder in the event at 54.30 seconds, Sowell was MSU Denver's first competitor at the outdoor women's nationals since 2015.
