COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — After delivering one of the biggest moments of the season for MSU Denver men's soccer, senior midfielder Adan Perez has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning.

This marks the first RMAC weekly honor for MSU Denver men's soccer this season.

Perez earned the award after scoring twice — including the game-winning goal with just nine seconds remaining — in the Roadrunners' thrilling 3-2 road victory over No. 11 CSU Pueblo on Thursday night. 

His late strike capped a dramatic finish and sealed MSU Denver's first win over a ranked opponent since 2022, when the Roadrunners defeated No. 20 UCCS.

Perez's performance also marked the first multi-goal match by a Roadrunner this season. With the brace, Perez tied his personal best with five goals on the year, leading the team in scoring.

The win over CSU Pueblo — the program's first in Pueblo since 2015 — propelled MSU Denver to the top of the RMAC standings, as the Roadrunners extended their winning streak to four matches and unbeaten streak to nine, the program's longest stretch without a loss since a seven-match run in 2022.

Perez has been a key playmaker for the Roadrunners' high-powered offense this fall, helping fuel a balanced attack that has MSU Denver among the RMAC's leaders in goals scored and goal differential.

The Roadrunners will look to build on their strong form as they continue RMAC play this weekend, aiming to maintain their position at the top of the conference table.
