DENVER — MSU Denver men's soccer standout Nick McNeil added another major honor to his exceptional senior season on Wednesday, earning a place on the D2CCA South Central All-Region Second Team. He is the Roadrunners' lone all-region selection this year, capping one of the strongest campaigns by an MSU Denver goalkeeper in more than a decade.

The award adds to a long list of accolades for McNeil, who was previously named First Team All-RMAC, the RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year, and First Team Academic All-RMAC — a rare combination of athletic and academic excellence.

A cornerstone of MSU Denver's defensive identity, McNeil anchored the Roadrunners with poise and consistency throughout the season. He ranked second in the RMAC with five shutouts and posted an impressive 0.95 goals-against average in conference play. Over the full year, he surrendered only 20 goals, the third-fewest in the RMAC, while recording a .706 save percentage and logging nearly every available minute between the posts.

His reliability in goal played a major role in MSU Denver's resurgence, helping lead the Roadrunners to a share of the RMAC regular-season championship, their best finish since 2012, and their first RMAC Tournament win since 2017.

McNeil's all-region selection places him among the top players in the South Central — a region loaded with nationally ranked programs — and further cements his status as one of the premier goalkeepers in Division II.
