@MSUDenverMSOC: Roadrunners Picked Fourth in RMAC Preseason Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history, the MSU Denver men's soccer team was picked to finish fourth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in the league's 2026 Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced Tuesday.

The Roadrunners received 71 points in the preseason poll, which was topped by defending RMAC champion UCCS with 100 points and 10 first-place votes. Regis was picked second with 85 points, followed by Fort Lewis with 75. CSU Pueblo rounded out the top five with 63 points.

MSU Denver enters the 2026 season looking to build on a 2025 campaign that saw the Roadrunners finish as co-regular-season champions, sharing the RMAC title after a standout year. The Roadrunners advanced to the RMAC Tournament championship match, where they finished as runners-up after falling to UCCS, 3-2. UCCS went on to claim the RMAC championship with the victory.

The 2025 season also saw head coach Nick Kirchhof earn RMAC Coach of the Year honors after guiding MSU Denver to its share of the regular-season championship and a spot in the conference tournament final.

The Roadrunners' fourth-place preseason projection puts them among the conference's top contenders entering the new season, with MSU Denver looking to once again compete for the RMAC title.

UCCS was the unanimous choice to win the league in 2026, receiving all 10 possible first-place votes. Regis earned one first-place vote, while Fort Lewis was selected third.

The RMAC also announced its 2026 Preseason All-RMAC Team, which features 12 returning student-athletes selected based on head coaches' voting from the 2025 All-RMAC Teams.

The Roadrunners will look to turn last season's success into another run at the conference championship when the 2026 season gets underway on Thursday, August 27 against Western Oregon in Salt Lake City.
