DENVER – Baseball, softball, men's tennis, men's basketball and women's basketball are all on the road competing this weekend.
SOFTBALL
MSU Denver at St. Edward's, doubleheader, Thursday, 11 a.m.
MSU Denver at St. Mary's, doubleheader, Friday, 11 a.m.
MSU Denver at St. Edward's, Saturday, 10 a.m.
After the Roadrunners went 4-0 against Montana State-Billings in their season-opening series, they will head on the road for the first time against a couple of Lone Star opponents. They'll take on the Hilltoppers for three games, and St. Edward's is coming off a 3-2 weekend after competing in the DII First Pitch Invitational in Conroe, Texas. Head coach
Annie Van Wetzinga and her crew will also battle St. Mary's for a doubleheader this Friday. The Rattlers are 1-4 after their first weekend of the season.
BASEBALL
MSU Denver at Oklahoma Baptist, Feb. 7 – Feb. 9
Head coach
Ryan Strain and his squad are 1-2 after competing in the First Pitch Invitational in Edmond, Oklahoma. The big story from that weekend was the pitching performance from
Nolan Livsey, who earned the team's first victory in 2025. The junior pitcher went six innings, gave up just two earned runs on four hits and struck out six Bronchos. Up next for the Roadrunners is a four-game set with Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The Bison are also 1-2 after their first weekend of play.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
MSU Denver at Colorado Mesa, Thursday, 5:30 p.m.
MSU Denver at Western Colorado, Saturday, 1:00 p.m.
The women's basketball team is heading out on the road this week and are battling for one of the final spots for the RMAC playoffs. They are just one game back of the final playoff spots, but they will be tested this week having to face two-of-the-top three teams in the conference. They'll first go toe-to-toe with Colorado Mesa on Thursday night. The Mavericks are the top team in the RMAC sitting with a 10-2 record. Then it's onto Gunnison, Colorado to face off against Western Colorado, who currently is third in the conference standings at 8-4.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
MSU Denver at Colorado Mesa, Thursday, 7:30 p.m.
MSU Denver at Western Colorado, Saturday, 3:00 p.m.
After going 1-1 at home last weekend, the Roadrunners are off on the road to continue conference play. They will first head to Grand Junction on Thursday night to battle Colorado Mesa, who features Mike Dunlap as their head coach. Of course, Dunlap was the head coach for the Roadrunners during their national championship years. After a slow start, the Mavericks have won 8-of-their-last-10 games and now stand 6-6 in the conference. MSU Denver will then take on Western Colorado on Saturday afternoon, where the Mountaineers are 4-8 in RMAC play.
MEN'S TENNIS
MSU Denver at Air Force, Saturday, 10 a.m.
MSU Denver vs Montana, Sunday, 10 a.m.
Head coach
Bruno Campos will lead the men's team this weekend in two exhibition matches. First, it's a date with the Falcons from Air Force in Colorado Springs this Saturday morning. Then they'll head back to the Air Force Academy and play Montana on Sunday morning. The squad as recently picked to finish ninth in the PacWest preseason poll.
