CANYON, Texas -- The MSU Denver Roadrunners outdoor track and field teams were spread out over the weekend with the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi going on while also competing at the Mines Kit Mayer Classic on Saturday afternoon. They recorded two program records on Saturday at the Jo Meaker Classic and Multi invite.
JO MEAKER CLASSIC & MULTI
The Jo Meaker Classic in Texas went on from Thursday-Saturday. The Roadrunners captured seven top-10 finishes during the Invitational.
Kenny Greene and
Lushous Davis led the way, each capturing the top-finish for their teams. Greene placed third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 47.23, while Davis also placed third but in the women's hammer and tossed a high of 51.21 meters.
Davis' throw of 51.21 meters marks a new school record for the women's hammer throw.
Isaiah Williams had a jump of 2.02 meters in the men's high jump, a new school record. He placed fifth overall in the event.
Brooklyn Jones had the next highest finish, with a fourth place finish in the javelin throw. She tossed a high of 37.59 meters.
Brandon Simpson placed sixth in the men's javelin throw, with a toss of 51.71 meters.
Maya Ries also finished sixth, but in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.47.
MINES KIT MAYER CLASSIC
Marissa Bruno and
Jordan Duran headlined for the Roadrunners at the Mines meet, both tallying top-10 finishes on Saturday evening.
Bruno placed 5th in the women's 5K, with a time of 18:29.20, while Duran placed 8th in the men's 5K with a time of 15:28.63.
