Box Score DENVER — The MSU Denver Roadrunners took down the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets Wednesday afternoon by a score of 8-2 in game one of the RMAC Championship Tournament.
Jaiden Geist proved exactly why she was named to the All-RMAC first team, belting two home runs and knocking in four of the eight MSU Denver runs. She went 3-for-4 on the day with two runs. Her two-run shot in the third inning put the Roadrunners up 3-2, a lead they would be able to hold the rest of the contest.
After a shaky first inning giving up two runs, Natalie Romero didn't give up a single run the rest of the way. She tossed a complete game, allowing two earned runs on five hits while also striking out five.
This is the third time this season Romero has gone head-to-head with RMAC Pitcher of the Year Laci Peskey, and has come out victorious in all three match ups.
Fellow All-RMAC players Alexia Boring and Miki Berg recorded multi-hit games. Boring went 2-for-4 with two runs and Berg went 2-for-4 with one run.
Hannah DiFabio produced a 2-for-3 afternoon at the plate from the no. 9 spot with a run and an RBI.
