@MSUDenverBSB: Roadrunners Ranked No. 23 in First NCBWA Division II Top 25 Poll

DENVER – The MSU Denver baseball team has cracked the national rankings, coming in at No. 23 in the first NCBWA Division II Top 25 Poll, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

The ranking marks the first time the Roadrunners have appeared in the NCBWA national poll since the conclusion of the 2023 season, when MSU Denver was slotted No. 25 before the NCAA Tournament.

The Roadrunners have surged out of the gate in 2026, winning seven consecutive games to open the year — their best start since the 2021 squad began the season 9-0. MSU Denver's early success has been fueled by dominant pitching and timely offense, setting the tone for a fast start in non-conference play.

Leading the charge on the mound has been senior transfer Brayden McCollough, who delivered one of the top performances in Division II during the opening weeks of the season. McCollough carried a perfect game into the sixth inning in his latest outing and finished with 11 strikeouts, earning both RMAC Pitcher of the Week and NCBWA South Central Region Pitcher of the Week honors.

MSU Denver joins Colorado Mesa as the only RMAC programs ranked in the national top 25 to open the season.

With momentum building and national recognition secured, the Roadrunners will look to continue their unbeaten run as the 2026 campaign rolls on.
