DENVER — MSU Denver Athletics is off and running with all of their spring season sports in action, and another action packed week awaits with just softball staying on campus for a doubleheader on Saturday while the rest of the teams hit the road.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Thursday 2/12 7 p.m. @ Chadron State
Saturday 2/14 3 p.m. @ South Dakota Mines
The Roadrunners hit the road looking to regroup after two narrow home losses to Colorado Mesa and Western Colorado. With the final stretch of conference play ahead, MSU Denver remains in the hunt for an RMAC Tournament berth.
A strong weekend swing in Chadron and Rapid City could provide a major boost as the postseason race tightens.

MSU Denver split its home slate last weekend, falling to No. 4 Colorado Mesa before bouncing back with a dominant defensive performance against Western Colorado. Keira Mitchell continues to anchor the Roadrunners' defense, earning her second consecutive RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Sitting at 8-6 in conference play, MSU Denver looks to build momentum on this road trip as positioning tightens in the RMAC standings.

The Roadrunners are off to their best start since 2021 after a road sweep of Newman pushed them to 7-0. MSU Denver entered the national rankings this week at No. 23 in the NCBWA poll, joining Colorado Mesa as the only RMAC programs in the top 25.
Dominant pitching has fueled the surge, highlighted by senior transfer Brayden McCollough, who earned both RMAC and NCBWA South Central Region Pitcher of the Week honors after carrying a perfect game into the sixth inning and striking out 11 batters. The Roadrunners face a challenging four-game weekend to continue their unbeaten run.

MSU Denver opened its home schedule in dramatic fashion last weekend, sweeping Montana State Billings. The Roadrunners stormed back for a 7-6 walk-off victory in the opener before closing the day with a 12-1 mercy-rule win in five innings. Riding that momentum, MSU Denver now hosts Colorado School of Mines for a non-conference doubleheader.

The Roadrunners are coming off a record-breaking performance at the Colorado Classic, where three program records fell. Kenny Greene reset the school marks in the 200 meters and as part of the 4x400 relay, while freshman Andre Henry broke the shot put record.
With just one more meet remaining after this weekend before the RMAC Indoor Championships, MSU Denver will look to sharpen its form and continue building momentum heading into the conference title meet.
