DENVER — The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its second NCAA Division II Top 25 poll of the 2026 season on Wednesday afternoon, and the MSU Denver Roadrunners baseball climbed five spots to No. 18 in the national rankings.
This marks the highest ranking in a national poll for the Roadrunners since they were ranked No. 19 by Collegiate Baseball at the end of the 2023 campaign.
MSU Denver's rise comes after a competitive weekend at the Steve Anson Classic in Topeka, Kansas, where the Roadrunners finished 2-2. Both losses came against No. 22 Emporia State Hornets, with each contest decided by a single run — including a 12-inning battle that went down to the final moments.
Despite the pair of narrow setbacks, MSU Denver remains off to a blistering 9-2 start to open the 2026 campaign. The Roadrunners will have the week off before returning to action at home on Friday, February 27, when they host the UCCS Mountain Lions.
