DENVER — A full slate of events are on deck for MSU Denver Athletics, while softball officially ushers in their 2026 home opener against Montana State Billings, while both men's and women's basketball return to the Auraria Event Center for the weekend.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Thursday 2/5 7:30 p.m. vs. Colorado Mesa
Saturday 2/7 3 p.m. vs. Western Colorado
The men (7-13 overall, 5-7 RMAC) tip off the week Thursday night at home against Colorado Mesa before another league matchup on Saturday versus Western Colorado. The Roadrunners are coming off a split last weekend, opening with a win over New Mexico Highlands before falling to Fort Lewis, the top-ranked team in the RMAC.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Thursday 2/5 5:30 p.m. vs. Colorado Mesa
Saturday 2/7 1 p.m. vs. Western Colorado
The women (9-11 overall, 7-5 RMAC) also face Mesa on Thursday and Western Colorado on Saturday, entering the week with confidence after posting four straight RMAC victories. MSU Denver will aim to extend its winning streak and continue climbing the league standings as they hit the home stretch.

Head coach Ryan Strain and his squad started off their season with a bang last weekend at home, taking care of Missouri Western in a three-game sweep. The Roadrunners put up double-digit runs in each contest, proving they once again have an elite offense they can rely on.
The team will hit the road to Wichita for the weekend to take on Newman for four games as they continue non-conference play.
SOFTBALL

Softball will play Saturday afternoon in their 2026 home opener after a tough weekend down in Texas for the Lone Star Classic. They went 1-3 and will look to bounce back against Montana State Billings back on their own turf.
INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

Saturday 2/7 11 a.m. CU Invite
Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field return to action Friday and Saturday at the CU Invite in Boulder. With the RMAC Indoor Championships approaching later this month, the Roadrunners will continue to sharpen their performances after a productive meet last weekend in Golden.
Brandon Simpson highlighted last weekend, breaking his own record in the weight throw with a 14.81 meter toss.
