DENVER – MSU Denver Baseball was well represented when the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its 2026 All-RMAC teams on Wednesday morning, with the Roadrunners placing nine players across the first team, second team, and Gold Glove honors.
Headlining the group were three First Team All-RMAC selections in catcher Noah Wicks, designated hitter Royce Vandine, and right-handed pitcher Jake Syverson, each playing a pivotal role in MSU Denver's 36-14 season.
Wicks turned in one of the most dominant offensive seasons in program history, leading the RMAC in on-base percentage (.567) while ranking second in batting average (.458) and third in OPS (1.322). He also finished among the conference leaders in multiple categories, including doubles (19), runs (57), and hits (71), while leading the Roadrunners across nearly every major offensive statistic. Wicks' consistency stood out, posting a 17-game hitting streak and reaching base in 36 consecutive games. He also recorded multiple five-hit performances and was the only player in the RMAC to tally six hits in a single game this season.
Vandine earned his first All-RMAC selection after a breakout campaign, tying for the team lead with 12 home runs while batting .367 with 52 RBIs and 105 total bases. He set career-highs across the board and delivered one of the most memorable performances of the season with a seven-RBI outing against No. 1 Colorado Mesa, helping MSU Denver snap the Mavericks' 24-game winning streak and perfect conference record.
On the mound, Syverson established himself as one of the top arms in the conference, leading the RMAC in both innings pitched (76.1) and strikeouts (61). He also ranked third in ERA (6.01), opponent batting average (.283), and wins (six), anchoring the Roadrunners' pitching staff throughout the season.
MSU Denver also placed six players on the All-RMAC Second Team, showcasing the program's depth.
Brayden Oram earned recognition after hitting .331 with nine home runs and 42 RBIs while transitioning into the starting shortstop role late in the season. Jared Swarbrick was a key contributor at third base, batting .395 with 51 hits, 35 runs, and a .448 on-base percentage.
In the outfield, Brooks Rasmussen and Lathen Buzard both received honors. Rasmussen hit .395, ranking second on the team, while leading the Roadrunners with 15 stolen bases and adding 66 hits and 50 runs scored. He also earned a spot on the RMAC Gold Glove Team, highlighting his impact defensively. Buzard provided power in the lineup, hitting .345 with 11 home runs, 45 RBIs, and an impressive 1.154 OPS.
On the pitching side, Alejandro Maltos-Garcia and Carter Swan rounded out the selections. Maltos-Garcia served as the team's No. 2 starter, ranking among RMAC leaders in ERA, opponent batting average, and strikeouts. Swan excelled out of the bullpen as the team's closer, posting a 7-1 record—second-most wins in the conference—while adding four saves.
With nine total selections and representation across all facets of the game, MSU Denver's presence on the All-RMAC teams underscores the strength of a roster that will now turn its focus to postseason play. The Roadrunners will take on Colorado School of Mines today in the first round of the RMAC Tournament in Grand Junction.
