GOLDEN, Colo. – The MSU Denver track and field team completed its first indoor meet of the season on Saturday with multiple student-athletes in competition.
On the men's side,
Brandon Simpson placed eighth in both the weight throw and the shot put. Simpson put the shot 13.15 meters (43'1.75") on his first throw of the event and tossed the weight 14.32 meters (46'11.75") on his final attempt.
Isaiah Williams was third in the high jump after clearing the bar at a height of 2.00 meters (6'6.75").
Abrehem Martinez placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.26 seconds and
Kevin Tashie placed seventh in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.02 seconds after running a time of 6.98 seconds in prelims.
Maya Reis was a top-performer for the women placing fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.10 seconds. Taylor Webber competed in the triple jump, placing fourth with a jump of 10.63 meters and in the long jump where she placed eighth with a leap of 5.39 meters.
Lushous Davis was fifth in the shot put with a throw of 11.80 meters (38'8.75") and sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 15.45 meters (50'8.75"). Jocelyn Krobe wrapped up the pentathlon placing fifth with 3,005 points.
Next up, MSU Denver will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. on December 13-14 for the UCCS Pre-Holiday Invitational and Multi.
