TUCSON, Ariz. – Isabel Botero shot a first-round 7-over-par 79 and is tied for 30^th after the opening day of the WT Desert Invitational.
 
Botero birdied the par-3 third and 14^th holes on the 5,909-yard Lodge at Ventana Canyon course.
 
It was a tough day overall for the Roadrunners, who compiled a four-player team score of 46-over 334 and are last in the 19-team field.
 
Vaijayanti Bharkhada, Sydney Eye and Mackenzie Carpenter all shot 13-over.
