GOLDEN, Colo. – MSU Denver, winners of eight of its last nine games, including a four-game weekend sweep of New Mexico Highlands, earned a three-spot promotion to No. 7 in the NCBWA South Central Region baseball rankings.
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association region poll isn't affiliated with the official NCAA region rankings which start late in the season and are eventually used to determine seedings and at-large qualifiers for the NCAA Tournament.
MSU Denver (21-17 overall, 12-8 and tied for third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) plays a four-game series this weekend at Adams State, with a single game Friday at 3 p.m., a doubleheader Saturday at noon, and a single game Sunday at noon.
