GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The MSU Denver women's golf team struggled Tuesday on the second and final day of the RJGA Shootout at Estrella, shooting a four-player score of 325 to finish 13
th.
The Roadrunners had been part of a four-way tie for first at 308 after the first day, but had the 14
th-best team score on Tuesday on the 6,005-yard, par-72 Golf Club of Estrella course.
Callie Burns turned in MSU Denver's best Tuesday round at 5-over 77, including a 10-hole stretch in which she had four birdies while shooting 3-under.
Mackenzie Carpenter was 8-over Tuesday and finished tied for 29
th individually at 11-over for the tournament, while
Izabella Pesicka tied for 38
th at 14-over. Both Burns and
Neige Dunn tied for 43
rd at 16-over.
MSU Denver competes Sunday and Monday at the Wasatch Invitational in South Jordan, Utah.
