BOULDER, COLO – The Roadrunners saw two school records fall at the Potts Invitational in Boulder on Saturday afternoon.
Kenny Greene broke the Roadrunners record in the men's 400-meter dash, crossing the line in a time of 48.01 seconds. The freshman broke the previous mark of Phil Hill Jr., who held it for more than 11 years after breaking it in December of 2013 (49.08). Greene's mark also hit a provisional time for the Aurora native.
Greene also finished fourth in the men's 60 meters completing the dash in a time of 6.93 seconds.
On the women's side,
Naleia Sowell also broke the program mark in the 400 meters and did so with a time of 55.94 seconds. The senior broke her own record of 56.65, when she set that mark back on February of 2024 at the Gorilla Classic. Sowell's time also hit a provisional qualifying mark.
Sowell also came in third in the 200 meters, finishing in a time of 25.72 seconds.
On Friday, the Roadrunners saw redshirt freshman
Josiah Billington compete in both the men's long jump and triple jump. In the long jump, the Castle Rock native leaped 6.59 meters to finish in first place, while also finishing in first place in the triple jump reaching 12.52 meters.
The Roadrunners will be right back in Boulder next weekend to compete in the Colorado Classic.
