BOULDER, Colo –
Isaiah Williams led the way for the men's and women's indoor track and field team on day one of the Colorado Classic.
Williams reached a distance of 1.91 meters in the men's high jump, which placed him fourth in the meet. The sophomore's distance places him eighth all time in Roadrunners history. Williams also own the fourth best time in program history reaching 1.93 meters in February of 2024.
In the weight throw event,
Brandon Simpson reached 13.81 meters, which puts him eighth all-time at MSU Denver. He owns the top mark of 14.52 meters, which he claimed in February of 2024.
Josiah Billington finished first in the men's triple jump reaching 13.86 meters. Teammate Perry Guidry came in second place with a distance of 13.46 meters.
On the women's side,
Taylor Weber finished second in the triple jump hitting a mark of 10.39 meters. Fellow Roadrunner
Breauna Sorensen placed third in the triple jump reaching 9.80 meters.
Jocelyn Korbe reached 4.98 meters in the women's long jump placing her 10th, while
Lushous Davis also placed 10
th after throwing the weight 15.34 meters.
The Roadrunners will continue the Colorado Classic for day two in Boulder on Saturday.
