GUNNISON, Colo – The Roadrunners had five competitors finish in first place at the RMAC Last Chance Qualifier meet at Western Colorado on Friday.
Maya Ries broke the tape in the women's 60-meter hurdles finishing in a time of 8.76. Teammate
Jocelyn Korbe finished in fifth place and did so in a time of 9. 55 seconds.
2025 breakout Kenny Greene also finished in first place running a 49.31 mark in the men's 400 meter dash.
Asend Ashby finished the same race in a time of 52.22 and crossing the line in eighth place.
In the men's 60-meter hurdles, three Roadrunners finished in the top four, which included a first-place finish by
Trenton Smith. Smith had the top time of 8.43 seconds, with
Sean Pecenka coming in second place at 8.46 and
Brandon Aviles in fourth and an 8.71 mark.
Josiah Billington finished first in the men's long jump, reaching the top mark of 6.84 meters. And Perry Guidry had the best mark in the men's triple jump hitting 14.08 meters.
Other top finishes included a second-place finish from Nalei Sowell in the women's 400 meters (57.18), a third-place finish by
Jordan Duran in the men's 5,000 meters (15:47.82), a third-place finish by
Taylor Weber in the women's triple jump (10.85) and a fourth and fifth place finish in the women's 60 meter dash by Odone Omofoma (7.82) and
Jessica Hobson (7.94) respectfully.
